Mission Statement:
To make the broader military community, and the public at large, better aware of the ongoing role of the SEABEES as U.S. Navy combat troops and construction workers heavily involved in national defense and humanitarian aid worldwide. |
Seabees Say
All non-Seabee site visitors, please SKIP straight to the Table of Contents below, and READ AND ENJOY!...
Listen up, fellow BEES! It’s your turn now! This Web site, SeabeesInfoHQ.org, is open for
submissions of material for possible posting to this “Seabees Say” feature. Here’s your
chance to share stories of your personal SEABEE experiences with other BEES and with the
general public: Anything that illustrates what makes SEABEES unique among all the military
forces. Submit your story that describes what SEABEES do in war and peace, on the jobsite,
in training, or off duty.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES: Submissions should be e-mailed in as message-body text sent
to our special e-mail address
seabeessay@seabeesinfohq.org. Each separate submission should be no more than 1,200 words.
(Technical terms, military expressions, and acronyms should be explained for laymen.) Text
alone is fine, but text accompanied by clear photos with captions that identify people, places,
time periods, and activities are better. (Photos should be submitted as attached JPEG files,
using a “coarse” scan rate of 144 dpi. Photo captions should be included in the message text,
clearly indicating which caption goes with which JPEG filename.) Sorry, USPS mail, or providing
submissions as links to another Web site, are not options at this time!
DISCLAIMER NOTICE: Pieces that reflect the diversity of missions, training, and work
accomplished by SEABEES of all eras will be considered for inclusion on “Seabees Say.” By the
act of submitting material to SeabeesInfoHQ.org you certify and warranty that the material is
not copyrighted, or that you own the copyright and grant non-exclusive rights in perpetuity to
reproduce (with attribution to you by name) on this Web site. You accept without recourse to
SeabeesInfoHQ.org or any of its volunteers that your material might be downloaded from this Web
site and reproduced elsewhere by unknown third parties. Decisions on which submissions are
accepted for posting, and on editing accepted submissions as deemed appropriate by this site’s
content editors, will be made solely by the volunteer editors and are final. We regret that
due to the volume of submissions, they cannot be individually acknowledged. Stories selected
for posting will gradually be moved to the
Archive as new material is added to the main
page.
