Mission Statement:

To make the broader military community, and the public at large, better aware of the ongoing role of the SEABEES as U.S. Navy combat troops and construction workers heavily involved in national defense and humanitarian aid worldwide.

OPERATION SEABEES KNOWLEDGE SPEAKER’S KIT

To help spark enthusiasm for the spreading of the SEABEES “Name and Fame” through a multitude of person-to-person public presentations, OPERATION SEABEES KNOWLEDGE has prepared a selection of subject-matter materials referred to here as the “Speaker’s Kit”. These materials can be readily used to begin a campaign of public appearances which will inform and entertain an audience. Further materials will be developed as appropriate and made obtainable online from this Web site.

The Speaker’s Kit is the necessary first step in creating a “Speaker’s Bureau” of volunteers prepared to give a presentation on the SEABEES to a wide variety of potential audiences. They would include, but not be limited to, various service organizations: Jaycees, Rotary, Lions, etc, Boy and Girl Scouts, trade groups, schools, ROTC and JROTC, veterans organizations (maybe having SEABEE members), military associations, active and reserve military units (SEABEES especially), readings from classics like “Can Do” at community centers and public libraries, and so on. Be creative! Exclude no one who doesn’t already know everything there is to know about SEABEES!

After carefully reviewing the materials provided below, you can Volunteer to become a presenter and member of the Speaker’s Bureau. Any Groups who would like to obtain a volunteer SEABEE presenter can apply to the Speaker’s Bureau and an attempt will be made to locate someone near you. Both Volunteers, and Groups seeking a presenter, can make their wishes known by using the Volunteer or Contact button.
