To make the broader military community, and the public at large, better aware of the ongoing role of the SEABEES as U.S. Navy combat troops and construction workers heavily involved in national defense and humanitarian aid worldwide.

Pictured above is the proposed dedication to be included with the SEABEE flag that will be donated to the SEABEE Museum and Memorial Park, Davisville, R.I., when it returns from Iraq. I originally gave my personal flag to Lee Longacre before he left for Iraq. It now has gained great significance as a memorial to SEABEES KIA in Iraq, and belongs as a lasting tribute to them in a place of honor.
