SEABEES Say!: Bravo Zulu", reporter gets it right!
Giving credit where credit is due. "Stormin' "
Shipmates, changed my mind. There's nothing useful for me to add to this
outstanding article and photos. BZ to the reporter. Somebody is finally getting
it right when reporting on the SEABEES ! I was there and personally told each
of my SEABEE brothers I was proud of him. I shed some tears for those who
shed their blood and was very moved by the entire experience. All the way with
OSK ! "Stormin' "
The following message has been sent to Ken Lewis:
From: Normand Dupuis (normandchf@aol.com)
Subject: Navy's Band of Brothers
Message: Ken, You did an outstanding job on this article. I was there and
know that you covered the subject magnificently! The SEABEES have long been
overshadowed in media reporting by the other branches whom they build for and
fight alongside, and even sometimes die beside. Your article goes a long way
toward correcting that historical oversight. The traditional Navy term for
expressing "job well done!" is "Bravo Zulu" abbreviated as "BZ". On behalf of
United States Navy SEABEES everywhere I send now "BZ" to you. and thanks!
Normand O.Dupuis (Stormin' Normand)
