[OPERATION SEABEES KNOWLEDGE / seabeesinfohq.org]

Mission Statement:

To make the broader military community, and the public at large, better aware of the ongoing role of the SEABEES as U.S. Navy combat troops and construction workers heavily involved in national defense and humanitarian aid worldwide.

NMCB-14 recalled to active duty March 1, 2004

The photos below were submitted by the wife of CM2 Alvin Carrasquillo of the Puerto Rico detachment. A determined group of SEABEES is seen the first photo taken during pre-deployment training at Naval Construction Battalion Center, Gulfport, Mississippi. The remaining two were taken shorty after arrival in Iraq and beginning to perform reconstruction and repair projects before the tragedy of seven unit members being killed in action in two separate incidents only two days apart.
